L'entreprise est lancée en 1984 sous le nom Sculptured Software, puis est racheté par Acclaim Entertainment en 1995cite-ref-1[1]. Elle est renommée Iguana West en 1997 puis Acclaim Studios Salt Lake City en 1999 et ferme en 2002.
